Covid 19 has had enormous economic impacts. Some of those impacts have been mitigated via political solutions (the CARES Act, the Federal Reserve’s liquidity measures, etc.). Some of the impacts remain to be understood, and to us, Municipal bonds are some of the uniquely impacted segments of Capital markets in 2020.

We discuss some of the risks that Covid poses to Municipal bonds, which bonds are most at risk, which are not facing elevated risks, and some background on how the Municipal bond market and public financing works.
